Professional Development Breakfasts
“working with young people and careers”
This is a quarterly opportunity for those that work in the careers field to acquire professional knowledge and skills and network to share techniques of what’s successful when working with young people. There will be an interesting mix of real life scenarios, professional development and a chance for one on one networking.
The November breakfast will focus on Exploring Green Careers and the opportunity available for young people in training, education and employment in this growing sector of sustainability.

Tim Jarvis, combines a love of adventure with a passion for environmental issues - a passion demonstrated through his work as an environmental scientist, public speaker and explorer of many of the planet's remotest places. As an environmental scientist with Masters in both Environmental Science and Environmental Law, he has undertaken unsupported expeditions to both polar regions and many of the world's deserts, mountains and rainforests, including a record-breaking journey to the South Pole. Tim's environmental work is focused on sustainable development in countries including India, Sri Lanka, Papua New Guinea and the Phillipines. Extended Bio Here |
Genevieve Haskett, General Manager, TafeSA - providing some insight into the upcoming redevelopment of the old Mitsubishi site at Tonsley Park, as it transforms into a Sustainable Industries Education Centre. She will also outline what courses are currently available for young people looking to gain further skills and education in this sector.
Tristan Bryant, the National Green Jobs Corp Program Manager at Heta Inc - He will outline what opportunities are available for young people looking to gain practical skills and employment in Green Jobs. He will highlight the benefits of the program and how involvement by young people can lead to a range of further employment options.
